Our ideal candidate will have strong relationship skills and experience working with corporate clients and community partners on health initiatives including health screenings, vaccines and wellness presentations.

He or she will also develop and manage work flows from beginning to end with good problem solving skills and attention to detail. Clinical quality experience preferred..

This position does call for occasional work outside the typical 9-5 day with occasional weekends and occasional early/late events during the week.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors degree or higher in public health, nursing, social work, health administration or closely related field.

Masters degree preferred.

Minimum of three to five years of professional experience in public health practice or project management.

Administrative skills including hiring and supervision of staff, formation of advisory committees and coordination of meetings and communications to committee members, budget management, and grant writing, preferred.

Experience coordinating community-based health programs, previous experience working with local agency partners, and knowledge of existing

Michigan health-related policies is strongly desired, preferred.

Experience in collaborating with coalitions, monitoring quality, data analysis and reporting, submitting proposals to Institutional Review Boards, and conducting site visits are desired, preferred.

Ability to define, assess, and understand the health status of populations, determinants of health and illness, factors contributing to health promotion and disease prevention, and factors influencing the use of health services is desired, preferred.

Working knowledge of community health, public health, social determinants of health and/or equity-based health issues, preferred.

Experience working with and/or supervising others, preferred.

Possesses leadership skills including networking, team building, small group processes, advocacy, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, preferred.

Strong computer skills, strong organizational skills, budgeting skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills, preferred.
