Description
As a Specialist I for the Calibration Lab, you will be responsible for assisting in compliance and support of operations for the laboratory to ISO17025. You will have the opportunity to work in a variety of lab environments and testing fields as you perform calibrations, assist in technical support, develop methods, and validation. It is an exciting role and fascinating field that offers opportunities for learning about calibration, equipment and problem solving every day.
Principle Accountabilities include but are not limited to:
Independently performing calibration tasks in times of high volume Manage outsourcing of calibration to external vendors
Write and maintain calibration SOPs.
Perform equipment repairs.
Develop calibration plans for the lab.
QC Review of in-house and outsourced calibration work orders.
Validation and Verification of new Calibration methods.
Train and mentor new staff on calibration procedures
Assist with audits and corrective actions.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Ability to follow complex technical procedures.
Ability to document calibration procedures.
Knowledge of calibration processes.
2 years of college
Minimum Years of Experience: 5 Technical Laboratory
Must have technical writing experience
Experience with Electronic LIMS
Ability to work directly with vendors.
