Pallet Builder

Aeroteks client is looking for Pallet Builders in the Baltimore, MD area. Candidates will be working in a manufacturing environment. and assigned to an assembly station repairing and servicing wooden pallets used by distribution centers.

Responsibilities:

Uses a pneumatic nail gun to repair or assemble pallets

In a repair department places pallet on repair table, removes defective boards, replaces new boards, and nails replaced boards into place

In an assembly department takes stock boards and nails together based on type of pallet desired

Responsible for troubleshooting jams and basic maintenance of the saw

Work requires operator to stand for long periods of time( 8- 10 hours )

Additional Information:

Orientation will provide proper teaching for safety and nail patterns. After orientation, candidates will begin training at the assembly stations. Assembly stations are staggered against a conveyor belt that delivers the pallets to them.

Once at your station, you will be conducting visual inspections on the pallets looking for any dry-rot, water damage, defective boards, etc. Any damages material is removed using general labor, saws, hammers, crowbars, etc. New material will be attached and fastened using the pneumatic nail gun hanging in suspension.

After assembly and repairs are complete, pallet will go through quick visual inspection and be placed back onto the conveyor.

This is a non-climate controlled environment and a very physical job, each pallet will weight around 70-80 lbs.

Shifts:

1st Shift – Monday to Friday 6am – 2:30pm

2nd Shift – Monday to Friday 4pm – 12:30am
