Nurse, Urgent Care

Job Summary:

To provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Urgent Care.

Essential Responsibilities:

Deliver competent urgent or emergent nursing care to a diverse patient population of all ages, acuities and conditions within the population served by the facility.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience

Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a registered nurse in an emergency room, urgent care, or acute care environment is required.

Education

Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.

License, Certification, Registration

This job requires credentials from multiple states. Credentials from the primary work state are required before hire. Additional Credentials from the secondary work state(s) are required post hire.

Registered Nurse License (Virginia) within 6 months of hire AND Registered Nurse License (Maryland) within 6 months of hire

OR

Compact License: Registered Nurse within 6 months of hire

Registered Nurse License (District of Columbia) within 6 months of hire

Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 3 months of hire

Basic Life Support from American Heart Association

Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 3 months of hire

Additional Requirements:

Proficient in use of applicable computer software required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in IV therapy is preferred.

BSN is preferred.
