Compensation and Schedule for the Cardiovascular Radiology Tech

Cardiovascular Radiology Tech – Full-time, onsite, $48-$52 per hour, Monday – Thursday, 6:30am to 4:30pm. Join a positive team at a growing company!

Required Qualifications of the Cardiovascular Radiology Tech

– 2 years of recent Cath Lab and/or Interventional Radiology experience required

– Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required

– Registered Radiologic Technologist RT(R) highly preferred

– High school diploma or GED required

– Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screen

Job Summary for the Cardiovascular Radiology Tech

Provide technical support and assistance to the physician during Percutaneous Peripheral Vascular procedures, Permanent Pacemaker Implantations, Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterization and Coronary Intervention. Perform Radiographic duties using clinical knowledge, technical skills, and professional judgment in accordance with professional and departmental standards and protocols. Provide intra- and post-procedural instruction to patients. Prepare and maintain all pertinent information related to procedures.

Responsibilities of the Cardiovascular Radiology Tech

– Assist physician with performing diagnostic and interventional procedures

– Maintain operational knowledge of Cath Lab equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications

– Assist with equipment quality control and inventory management

– Provide all appropriate services to safely and efficiently complete patient procedures

– Maintain knowledge of cardiac concepts and clinical practices

– Possess the knowledge & skills level of basic and complex percutaneous peripheral interventions

– Recognize cardiac arrhythmias and respond according to emergency protocols

– Operate external cardiac pacemaker and defibrillator

– Intervene with appropriate therapy in the event of cardiac emergencies

– Maintain, troubleshoot, and operate fluoroscopy equipment to ensure operability and safety

– Calibrate equipment and perform routine preventive maintenance procedures

– Properly handle and process images to include storage and transfer

– Follow radiation safety policies and practice radiation safety procedures
