Job Summary: In this role, you have the opportunity to Be a part of Mercury Systems, Processing division that provides secure turnkey solutions/platforms to global customers in support of our Nations defense. Job Responsibility: Performing troubleshooting analysis on advanced, ruggedized computer configurations. Performing physical server repairs. Following build manuals, written instructions, defined best practices, and guidelines in quality assurance for wiring, cabling, and system configuration. Completing required information for hardware configuration, troubleshooting, defective equipment, and updating the repair status correctly and in detail within ERP. Completing final computer testing as determined by internal scripts. Assuming final responsibility for quality and quantity of servers repaired. Carefully transporting computers to and from stations per quality and safety guidelines. Required Qualification: HS. Diploma or equivalent. 1 years’ experience. Experience troubleshooting skills. Experience in testing Ruggedized Computing Systems. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong ability to follow written, verbal, and visual work instructions. Ability to work with minimum supervision. Ability to effectively work under pressure in a multitasking environment. Ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism under pressure. Basic reading, writing English, and strong arithmetic skills. US Citizenship. Preferred Qualifications: Basic knowledge of testing in Linux environment. Associates Degree. Computer certifications. Additional Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Ability to work with general instruction on daily activities. Basic reading, writing English. Physical Demands/Working Conditions: The ability to transport computers, up to 50 lbs., to and from stations using provided wheeled carts. In the Returns Department, each Test technician will conduct their responsibilities at an ESD workstation. Each station has the required tools for physical repairs and network communication for testing. Travel Requirements: Represent Mercury Systems at client site locations for the repair of computers as needed. This may include travel outside of the Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC, area. This may require a birth certificate and/or a current US Passport. If travel is within the local tri-state area, it may require the use of personal auto, to which established expense parameters would be reimbursed. “This position requires you to access information that is subject to U.S. export regulations.
