Director, 340B Strategy


Job Description

The Director, 340B Strategy, will report to the Executive Director of Strategic Insights, Integrated Account Management, and support the 340B Core Team and Steering Committee, which includes Finance, Legal, IAM, Compliance, Operations, and Policy.

This position will require significant interaction with and an ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders across the US Market and at the Enterprise level, supporting communication and presentation of each plan, and ensuring organization alignment.

Key responsibilities include and may not be limited to:

Leading and/or collaborating with a variety of cross-functional workstreams to create detailed work plans and timelines for activities related to 340B planning and implementation.

Identify gaps, risks or opportunities in organizational readiness for all aspects of 340B as it relates to US commercial planning.

Establishing and monitoring progress for operational workstreams, and leading development and reporting for periodic updates to senior leadership.

Monitor statutory and regulatory changes related to the 340B program and coordinate with stakeholders across the enterprise to ensure our companys compliance and process optimization.

Continually review existing our companys 340B-related policies, procedures, and strategies against industry and marketplace trends; assess alternative methodologies where appropriate.

Coordinate with the Core Team and Steering Committee to develop and maintain, update and communicate proposals and data that will be used to inform Enterprise level decisions for all 340B related workstream questions and outputs.

Collaborate with key stakeholders across the enterprise, including IAM, Policy, BU brands, Payer Marketing, Finance, Legal, Operations, and other relevant stakeholders, to optimize and enable near- and long-term success in implementing 340B-related activities.

Monitor statutory and regulatory changes related to the 340B program and coordinate with stakeholders across the enterprise to ensure our companys compliance and process optimization.


Minimum Qualifications:

BS/BA degree

5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, corporate health/benefit consultancy, or related health care field

3 years of experience managing large, complex, matrix organizations

2 years of 340B experience

Legally authorized to work in the United States

Able to travel 50%, including to North Wales, Pennsylvania for meetings

Preferred Qualifications:

4 years of 340B experience

Advanced degree in business or health administration

Deep foundational knowledge of US healthcare market and ecosystems including trends, drivers and influencers

Growth mindset with demonstrated ability to set strategy and execute against goals to drive cogent results

Leadership to inspire and motivate senior leaders to activate on established strategy

Excellent communication skills and teamwork that leads to effective collaboration with colleagues

Experience leading through change to make resource decisions and trade-offs to maximize business potential

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected salary range:

$200,200.00 – $315,100.00
