We are hiring a Facilities Security Specialist to support our Beverly, MA facility. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a high level of compliance with FTI and client security programs for the safeguarding of personnel, property, and information systems on a proactive and reactive basis. This office includes scientists and software engineers working on software for image analysis, modeling and simulation, and algorithm design for intelligence and defense customers. Maintains SCIF accreditation for IC customer as Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO).

Provide oversight for alarm monitoring/guard response providers and respond to alarm activations as required.

Processes SCI and SAP nominations for personnel supporting various efforts.

Manages COMSEC account and materials.

Conducts security education and training.

Leads the development, implementation and monitoring of local security policies and procedures.

Provides security indoctrinations, debriefings, pre/post travel briefings and annual refresher briefings as necessary.

Investigates security violations and submit required reports to the government.

Documents and maintain personnel security files and rosters.

Maintains inspection readiness posture by creating and implementing a self-audit process.

Maintains administrative control and implementation of multiple government security data assets and repositories.

Responsible for the delivery of safety and security programs for the organizations premises.

Oversee internal investigations, incident management, emergency planning and response, access control, and security for day-to-day operations as well as special events and activities.

Support the FTI Director of Security with other duties and responsibilities as needed.



High school diploma or equivalency.

2 Years experience managing security for a facility under DoD or IC accreditation.

Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with the ability to pass a CI polygraph.

Experience with Defense Information System for Security (DISS), Scattered Castles, and other DoD and IC databases.

Working knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Office of U.S. Personnel Management (OPM) manual, and other relevant DoD and DoE security guidance.

Working knowledge of TEMPEST, OPSEC, IS procedures in support of contractual security requirements.

Advanced level of knowledge of National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) Security Manual, ICDs, E.O.s, NRO NBF 100, NRO directives and instructions, as well as ICD 705 and DoDM 5105 .21, Volume 2 relevant to SCIF construction, accreditation, and maintenance.

Must be physically located near and willing to report into the FTI office in Beverly, MA several days per week.


Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with current CI polygraph.

Previous experience as a Certified Special Security Officer ( CSSO) or Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO).
