Director of Leadership Transformation

The Director of Leadership Transformation advances the leadership development strategy in alignment with Burlington’s business goals and objectives and leadership competency framework. This role’s primary focus is to shape and execute leadership development programs that optimize the growth and success of leaders at all management levels. Critical to this role is the ability to plan, direct, and deliver blended leadership curriculum and coaching and mentoring programs leveraging internal and external resources and best practices and emerging trends. The individual in this role should maintain an up-to-date view of organizational and individual learning needs; translate broader talent management and high potential strategies into transformational leadership development priorities; and assess the impact of all programs, initiatives, and approaches on business and customer objectives.
A day in the life
Provide strategic direction and hands-on execution including facilitation of learning programs (instructor-led, leader-led, e-learning, learning circles, coaching, etc.) to achieve the desired business outcome.
Conduct thorough needs analysis to ensure leadership programs align with company strategy and business goals and represent internal culture and leadership priorities (e.g., Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion).
Assess, recommend, and implement leadership development processes, programs, and resources from third party vendors; partner with procurement and legal to negotiate contracts.
Establish critical partnerships with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to gain insight, identify needs and recommend/design the best learning solutions.
Provide coaching and mentoring to high-potential leaders, fostering their professional growth, and leadership capabilities.
You’ll come with
Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree; an advanced degree in Organizational Development or Human Resources is strongly preferred.
Certification in assessment tools (360, personality preferences, etc.) and training programs such as Situational Leadership is a plus.
10 years’ experience in designing and implementing successful leadership development programs, ideally in retail, hospitality, service or similar industry.
Expertise in leadership, talent management, and organizational development, translating business goals into impactful leadership strategies.
Demonstrated success in influential leadership, consensus-building, and effective collaboration across all organizational levels.
Strong project management skills, excelling in multitasking and thriving in fast-paced, changing environments.
Proven ability to manage diverse projects, measure training effectiveness, and facilitate instructor-led programs and workshops.
