Position Summary

The Senior Manager of Marketing, Beauty Customer Growth & Retention is responsible for the development of driving the CVS Beauty business utilizing current and propose new marketing solutions across the customer journey and lifecycle. You will drive category growth through new customer acquisition (net new and new to category), expanded consumption through both replenishment and trial of new products/services. Partnering closely with cross-functional teams in retail Merchandising, Digital and Store Operations, you will help deliver incremental trips, visits, and sales through the development of breakthrough marketing ideas and programs rooted in consumer insights.

We’re looking for a wholistic modern marketer who has a proven track record in reaching audiences during relevant moments, testing and validating emerging ideas, and delivering leading omni-experiences.

Lead the development, prioritization, and forecasting of primary hypothesis to drive scalable Beauty Customer growth.

Influence leadership and peers with knowledge of the customer and category by tracking current market trends, synthesizing CVS customer behavioral data and social listening.

Develop the next best actions, to drive increased category consumption through customer lifecycle and migration management.

Identify pools of customer growth segments to harvest category growth in partnership with channel subject matter experts.

Retain customers through always on retention/replenishment efforts and semi-annual sales events.

Leverage new CVS martech tools to fullest capacity and propose new useful tools, technology, partnerships.

Identify and focus on key customer outcomes, leveraging an agile mindset, to develop wholistic marketing strategies – optimize what is working, propose scalable opportunities, and sunset as-appropriate.

Comfort and ability to be hands on with business intelligence and insights tools such as Unify, Tableau, IRI/Nielson, Mintel (and more).

Seamlessly pivot back and forth from providing thoughtful insight on strategic marketing efforts and day-to-day project management of campaigns in development.

Maps customer journey and identifies pre, during, and post purchase touchpoints vital to the experience and category building initiatives.

Becomes to go-to partner for business partners to identify, understand, and collaboratively solve for shopper barriers, driving sales change and developing strategies to drive incremental sales and share growth.

Proactive self-education around retail and marketing industry trends / best practices to identify opportunities that are consistent with, and reinforce the CVS Health brand.

A passion for consumer behavior and category innovation.

Some travel required; up to 20%

This is a hybrid role with anticipated in office work days of Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. The ideal candidate will be located within a commutable driving distance to one of the following for in office work: New York, NY., Wellesley, MA., Woonsocket, RI, Hartford, or Chicago. Required Qualifications

7 years of marketing experience with a strong foundation of business, retailer, and consumer understanding.

3 years cross-functional leadership experience.

2 years of retail marketing or retail agency/strategy experience.

2 years of digital marketing experience including examples of testing and validating emerging opportunities.

2 years of marketing analytics sufficient enough to project program results and track/interpret them.

2 years of agile marketing experience with an understanding of testing methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

2 years of Martech hands-on-keyboard experience with Adobe or Oracle tech stacks.

1 years of brand or category management experience a plus.

Proven track record of the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external business partners in delivery ROI positive results.

Intellectual curiosity and rigorous analytical experience, ability to use data to build a business case & marketing plan.

Entrepreneurial mindset focused on driving outcomes over output.

Strong familiarity with instore and digital retail environments.

Self-motivated, high capacity individual who can function and win in a demanding, performance-driven environment.

Excellent communication skills that can be effectively articulated in both written and oral forms across a diverse audience base.

Creative problem solver who can incorporate new learnings into existing plans and act decisively and independently.

Strong PC knowledge including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.


Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field preferred OR 4yrs of relevant experience.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$79,200.00 – $174,200.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
