The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-Level DevSecOps Software Engineer to join the team located in Hazelwood, MO . This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Global Service (BGS) business organization.

As part of Boeing’s Enterprise DevSecOps transformation, the DevSecOps Infrastructure Engineer will bring expertise to design, build, secure, operate, and monitor a variety of engineering environments to meet program needs and security requirements. They will join the BGS software core DevSecOps (DSO) team working hand-in-hand with the BGS DSO technical lead engineer.

The DevSecOps Engineer will be an active, hands-on teammate, helping build, maintain, and document common DevSecOps and cloud solutions that are aligned with security requirements.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Position Responsibilities:

Engage with software, IT, and program teams to design and develop core DevSecOps infrastructure and frameworks

Consult with Enterprise DSO to leverage and implement common, reusable infrastructure

Assist in integrating on-prem hardware with cloud compute and DevSecOps systems

Managing core infrastructure for cloud/on-prem/classified networks

Supporting internal engineering customers in implementing and maintaining their local DSO implementations

Manage and maintain core infrastructure, including break/fix and routine compliance activities

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. Ability to obtain Secret US Security clearance Post-Start.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

Bachelor degree or higher

3 years of professional experience developing with object-oriented programming

Experience working with both Windows and Linux Operating System

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree

Experience have with Cloud technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, AZURE, or AWS

Working knowledge of software testing methods and approaches

Experience working with both software and hardware-in-the-loop test environments

Familiarity with CI/CD process including debugging, test, and integration of software tools.

Experience with containerization

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PHD, Masters3 years’ related work experience)

In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

Summary pay range for Experienced: $104,550.00 – $141,450.00
