Position Overview

The Senior Business Analyst Lead is responsible for the logical design and functional documentation of business processes needed to support the Product Structure application. This includes working with stakeholders to understand and document functional requirements, conceptualizing the methods and techniques to obtain solutions, and facilitating requirement gathering sessions and design reviews. The Senior Business Analyst Lead also works closely with the development team and technical analysts to ensure that project deliverables meet the goals and expectations of the business.

Responsibilities

Provides the logical design and functional documentation of business processes needed to support Product Structure application solutions.

Acts as the liaison between stakeholders, development team, and technical analysts to ensure project deliverables satisfy the goals and expectations of the business.

Works in coordination with Technical Analysts to help conceptually determine a technical design and solution. Tests deliverables to ensure project objectives are met.

Assists the project managers in developing project plans and providing status. Will need to be able to work on multiple projects at one time.

Can train, guide, and mentor other business analysts (BAs) with less experience. Will utilize Navistar’s Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes for software configuration and development work.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree

At least 8 years of business analyst experience

At least 1 year of lead experience

OR

Master’s degree

At least 6 years of business analyst experience

At least 1 year of lead experience

OR

At least 10 years of business analyst experience

At least 1 year of lead experience

Additional Requirements

Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills

Ability to work with stakeholders to understand and document functional requirements and conceptualize the methods and techniques to obtain solutions. Experience facilitating requirement gathering sessions and design reviews.

Experience with engineering processes and concepts (parts master, different types of bills of material, engineering release, etc.).

Experience with data analysis, process modeling/mapping, user interface design, and use case diagrams to document functional requirements.

Comprehensive understanding of application, process, and data flows.

Ability to work on solutions supporting multiple business areas, integration points, and components.

Ability to analyze and decompose relevant business processes.

Update/Maintain Functional Process Flows

Create and maintain the visual appearance and UI design for screens/forms/reports.

Experience creating test plans/cases and performing system testing.

Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle, waterfall, iterative, agile practices, and methodologies. Ability to follow Navistar IT standards and operating model.

Ability to work independently with minimum guidance, to understand complex processes and solutions, and to easily adapt to changes.

Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as sound judgment and reasoning skills.

Is self-motivated, responsible, dependable and works with a sense of urgency. Is energized by challenges.

Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, and Project)

Experience querying data using SQL from multiple databases. Experience analyzing queried data.
