Job Responsibilities
Lean Strategy Development: Collaborate with executive leadership to develop a comprehensive Lean strategy aligned with the organizations overall goals and objectives. Define the roadmap for implementing Lean principles and methodologies.
Lean Transformation Leadership: Lead the organization through its Lean transformation journey by providing guidance, support, and direction to teams at all levels. Champion the adoption of Lean practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Process Analysis and Improvement: Conduct in-depth analysis of existing processes, systems, and workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Develop and implement strategies to streamline processes and eliminate waste.
Problem-Solving: Apply Lean methodologies and tools such as A3 to identify root causes of business problems and develop / implement sustainable solutions.
Training and Development: Establish training programs and workshops to educate employees at all levels on Lean principles and methodologies. Ensure that all staff members understand their roles in the Lean transformation and are equipped with the necessary skills to contribute effectively.
Metrics and Performance Monitoring: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of Lean initiatives. Regularly analyze and report on performance metrics to executive leadership, identifying successes and areas requiring further attention.
Change Management: Oversee change management initiatives related to the Lean transformation, ensuring that employees are engaged, informed, and involved in the process. Address any resistance to change and drive a positive culture shift towards continuous improvement.
Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong cross-functional collaboration and communication to ensure that Lean initiatives are aligned with business objectives and supported by all stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement Culture: Instill a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and problem-solving throughout the organization. Encourage and recognize efforts to identify and implement process improvements.
Lean Best Practices and Benchmarking: Stay up to date with industry best practices, Lean trends, and benchmarking data. Incorporate relevant insights to enhance the organizations Lean transformation efforts.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors or master’s degree in business administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
Proven experience (typically 10 years) leading Lean transformations in large-scale organizations across multiple functions and departments.
Comprehensive knowledge of Lean principles, methodologies, and tools such as TPM, A3 Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, etc.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify process inefficiencies and propose effective solutions.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to influence and motivate teams at all levels.
Change management expertise to guide employees through the Lean transformation process.
Results-oriented mindset with a track record of achieving operational excellence and process improvement goals.
