Description:

Maintains medical center facilities by performing general maintenance and repair tasks that require general knowledge, but not proficiency, in carpentry, painting, roofing, heating and ventilation, lighting, plumbing, electrical, furniture and equipment repair. The function of a maintenance mechanics is to perform a large number of various building maintenance tasks that can usually be accomplished in 30 minutes or less. Tasks of longer duration or those requiring special skill or proficiency are generally referred to a specific maintenance trade.

Position Requirements:

Minimum Education Required:

High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education.

Specify Degree(s): Vocational training, apprenticeship or comparable on the job training.

Minimum Experience Required:

6-10 years of previous job-related experience

Details: Preference for prior hospital or facility campus experience.

Licensure/Certifications Required:

Valid Illinois State Drivers License

Other: Credentials as licensed/bonded locksmith desired
