T he Data Management Specialist is responsible for:

Supporting the systematic program evaluation process for CAP Learning programs, including data collection, data analysis, and reporting activities.

Analysis and reporting of evaluation results in support of evaluation studies.

Teaming with other CAP Learning colleagues.

Communicating with internal customers.

Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Evaluation and Reporting and/or Senior Director, Education Portfolio and Evaluation assisting in the development and implementation of data analysis and reporting procedures.

Working with guidance in situations requiring analytical, interpretive, evaluative, and constructive thinking.

Providing input into strategic planning for data management processes.

Primary duties and responsibilities of the Data Management Specialist:

Use technology to support the management and maintenance of evaluation data including development and implementation of tools/techniques to manage data flows and produce needed results.

Support analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, including creating data codebooks.

Prepare accurate and timely data-rich reports using various tools including SPSS, Tableau, Microsoft PowerPoint, EXCEL, ACCESS, and Word.

Create reporting templates according to specifications.

Ensure deliverables are produced on time and within budget.

Meet with internal customers and the education team regarding data analysis and reporting needs for educational programs.

Support ongoing tracking of annual evaluation metrics and trends across the full portfolio of CAP education offerings.

Understanding and knowledge of basic data-related theories and methods

Experience with organization of data, including database structures, record layouts, and file structures

Awareness of implications various data formats and structures may have for analysis and reporting

Skills in importing data and setting up data files for analysis from a variety of file formats, including awareness of data cleaning issues

Basic quantitative analysis skills (i.e., descriptive statistics such as means and frequencies)

Experience analyzing data and preparing detailed reports to support organizational decision-making

Technical:

Experience using SPSS to create and run basic data analysis syntax.

Skilled in the use of Tableau to manage and create data dashboards.

Experience using Access software as well as EXCEL (including features such as macros, pivot-tables and charts) to manage, clean and analyze data and create data-rich reports that include data visualizations.

Proficient in the use of PowerPoint to present data summaries and results.

Education / Experience

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree

Experience:

Minimum of three years data analysis and reporting experience in a professional environment

Experience in a healthcare environment preferred
