We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Supervisor within our Abbott Rapid Diagnostics business located at Lake Forest, IL. In this role, you will ensure the Infectious Disease business unit (ID) leadership has accurate and timely financial data to support decision making.

The Opportunity

This position works out of our Lake Forest, IL location on site in the ARDx ID Business Unit. The person hired in this role is expected to work on site. This role reports to the RDx ID FP&A Manager and will primarily be responsible for various RLBE/Planning and month-end activities, as well as driving alignment between the commercial teams and supply chain/operations for COVID-specific products. This opportunity with Abbott’s Rapid Diagnostics Division (RDx) ID finance team is for a result driven and well-organized individual with strong analytical, communication, financial systems, and Excel skills.

What You’ll Work On

Support the ID LBE/Planning process, including the development of Plant templates, uploading forecasts into the planning system, and completing corporate finance templates with commentary and explanations of significant variances.

Management of direct reports. Coach and develop direct reports and provide meaningful work while enhancing financial acumen and skillsets.

Ownership of the ID Covid P&L for actuals and LBE reporting. Ensure proper Other Manufacturing Cost (OMC) splits between COVID & Base businesses across all Manufacturing Plants.

Partner with Manufacturing Finance to understand, report and forecast manufacturing variances (operating variances, overhead spend, and absorption), distressed inventory, service costs, project expense, quality assurance and quality control.

Ownership of Freight reporting, forecasting and analysis.

Liaise between the ID Regional Commercial Finance, Supply Chain and Operations Teams.

Perform ad-hoc analyses based on needs of Finance leadership and RDx management, evaluate overall business unit performance and items such as new initiatives and cost savings opportunities. Assist with preparation of management PowerPoint presentations.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors’ in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics.

4 or more years of relevant experience in a fast-paced work environment with frequent deadlines; ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.

Previous experience working with large amounts of data and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Solid accounting knowledge and strong technical systems skills such as SAP and Hyperion preferred.

Minimal travel required.

5 or more years of experience in similar area

Previous leadership experience.

Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of internal clients. Flexible and well-organized with a strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Reasoning – Ability to solve problems with complex variables through non-standardized solutions that require independent judgment and analysis. Ability to draw inferences and use deductive reasoning with no prescribed procedures to solve complex problems.

Robust analytical and problem-solving skills and the capability to conduct complex data analysis.

The base pay for this position is $80,700.00 – $161,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
