About the role:
Plasma-derived therapies are critical, life-saving medicines, which patients with rare and complex diseases around the world rely on every day. Global demand for these therapies, particularly immunoglobulins, has increased dramatically over the last 15 years, and continues to grow. Takeda is established as second largest provider of plasma-derived therapies (PDT) globally. Leveraging on 75 year pioneering legacy, Takeda believes there is tremendous potential to do more to meet expectations of patients and health care providers with plasma-derived therapies for patients with immunologic, hematologic, autoimmune and other complex diseases.
PDT’s mission is to transform the lives of patients through innovation and sustainability from plasma donation to delivery of holistic plasma-derived therapeutic solutions. Data Digital & Technology (DDT) is a trusted PDT partner, transforming donor experience and patient lives through innovation and excellence. As a Solutions Design Lead, you will provide architecture leadership, design, and implementation oversight for solutions that ensure PDTs strategic initiatives driving growth and improved patient experience. You will be based in our Bannockburn, IL office and will report to the PDT DDT Design and Engineering Lead.
How you will contribute:
Develop enterprise-grade architectures that might include AWS cloud services, software programs, devices, network, database, integration middleware, and analytics infrastructure
Promote business transformation, process improvement, and productivity by catalyzing digital solutions empowering new levels of human-machine collaboration
Provide visionary technology recommendations in data, analytics, LLM, AI/ML platform and solutions with MLOps processes fast-tracking AI solutions at enterprise scale
Contribute to innovation strategies by exploring, investigating, recommending, bench-marking and implementing new data-centric technologies and solutions
Develop operational processes for data, real-time integration hub, and AI/ML infrastructure ensuring data security and compliance with regulations (e.g. GxPs)
Develop Activity Diagrams, Use Cases, Information Models, Data Flows, Sequence Diagrams to communicate technical specifications allowing the development team to build applications/products meeting both functional and non-functional requirements
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or related field
At least 7 years of experience in solution architecture working on progressively complex projects
Experience in AI/ML technologies including developing production-grade solution
Experience establishing design principles, architecture standards with Takeda global technology strategy
Understanding of modern data and digital technologies including Big Data and data lake, BI and Data Warehousing, Data Integration, API and Microservices, ETL, Data Streaming and Real-time Analytics, Machine Learning/AI, LLM/LangChain, NLP, chatbots, RPA, and IoT
Proficient in Python, SQL, or other scripting languages; Databricks, ETL(Informatica), and Version Control (GitHub)
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, cloud-native services, and related technologies from AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure
