Job Description:
This incumbent demonstrates consistent application of knowledge and skills in assisting the pharmacist in the execution of appropriate, safe, efficacious, efficient, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care. The incumbent participates in many procedural aspects of pharmacy practice under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist or technician supervisor and is an integral part of the pharmacy team.
Schedule
We are open 7 days a week 265 days a year. the shifts are variable and may include evenings (until 9pm) and may include weekends and holidays.
Scope
As an Outpatient Pharmacy Tech you need to know how to:
Assist with all phases of pharmacy services- Work with patients, providers, and insurance companies to obtain prior authorizations
Answer phones and notes from physicians in a timely manner
Accurately read, interpret and enter prescriptions in a timely manner
Prepare medication orders and deliver prescriptions according to established policies, procedures, and protocols
Accurately type, bill and prepare prescriptions to extent allowed by state and federal rules and regulations
Perform basic calculations to determine doses and correct day supplies to be billed to 3rd party insurance companies
Perform necessary calculations to accurately prepare a compounded prescription
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent, required
Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team, required
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, required
Current registration as Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with Montana State Board of Pharmacy, preferred
At least two (2) years of Pharmacy Technician experience, preferred
Prior retail Pharmacy Technician experience, preferred
Physical Requirements:
Physical Requirements Carrying, hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
