The eLearning Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing eLearning courses and supplemental materials for Simplify Compliance customers. The eLearning Developer will engage and collaborate with various sponsors including Editorial staff, and Learning & Development colleagues. This role will assist with the translation of eLearning courses from English to Spanish, and leverage adult learning theories, instructional design principles, and user experience best practices for the continuous improvement of Simplify Compliance learning assets. This can be a remote position.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Use Articulate Storyline and other design and development tools to sync audio, design layouts, edit course content, and publish eLearning courses consistently

Assist with translation projects converting English programs to Spanish (US), including writing Spanish translations when English courses are built or updated; reviewing Spanish courses, and providing Spanish voice-over talent as needed

Maintain existing courses as applicable; incorporate user experience enhancements, apply instructional design best practices, and apply updates as applicable to art, graphics, learning treatments, and subject matter to ensure accuracy and relevance

Provide input for supplemental material templates and overarching designs; ensure accuracy relative to subject matter and adherence to standards through peer reviews, ensure brand standards are maintained and not diluted

Collaborate with voice-over talent, content development teams, external SMEs, and other members of the eLearning team to develop eLearning deliverables according to the timelines set in the Production queue

Update and maintain department records as needed, such as but not limited to control and edit logs, quality control checklists and guidelines, and various data points

Design and develop new library and custom courses; assist at all phases throughout the design and development lifecycle in both independent and team-based approaches, leverage technology and curated content, and ensure quality and accuracy throughout

Liaise between external freelancer and Learning & Development; ensure synergies between teams relative to Simplify Compliance standards and expectations, identify and manage workflows and controls, and manage communication

The Individual:

Strong experience with eLearning course-building tools, specifically Articulate Storyline (preferred), or Adobe Captivate

Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment independently

Comfortable working in a matrix organization with the ability to work effectively in a diverse and geographically dispersed work environment

Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal

Able to efficiently acquire new skills based on emerging technologies

Experience using audio/video editor software

Technically proficient and possess creative and intuitive problem-solving ability

Knowledge and practical application of adult learning principles to products to facilitate learning and enhance user experience

Proficient in instructional design theories and best practices

Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook as well as Adobe InDesign and Photoshop

Graphic Design and Consulting experience a plus

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree (Instructional Design, Learning and Development, Education, or similar)

Bilingual English/Spanish (US) required, including experience translating documents
