Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Support Production Control to join our team in Millersville. The Production Planning position will be responsible for the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules.

Essential Functions:

Performs necessary transactions to allocate complete assemblies to upper level manufacturing orders, complete reliefs of production on the operating floor, research production control issues and questions when asked by various supporting job functions.

Responsible for managing lab inventory levels of completed sub assemblies, piece parts, and nonconforming material.

Responsible for transactions of nonconforming material within our quality systems.

Responsible for shipments of completed goods against external sales order or customer demand.

Responsible for operator requested assistance during production or transactions necessary to complete production.

Reviews schedules to determine materials and parts requirements to ensure materials are requested and audited once available to production according to schedules.

Expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules.

Requisition and maintain inventories of materials or supplies necessary to meet production demands.

Able to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Proven track record for analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.

Ability to identify and analyze problems; use sound reasoning to reach conclusions; find alternative solutions to complex problems; determines objectives and strategies; coordinates with administrative personnel and evaluate the progress and outcome of operational plans.

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance.

Qualifications:

Requires fully proficient job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of Production Planning experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 0-2 years of Production Planning experience.

Must be a US Citizen.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing and distribution of goods.
