We have an exceptional opportunity for a mission driven clinical care specialist with a passion for high standards in health-care services in a fast-paced setting.
The Clinical Care Specialist main area of focus is primary responsibility is to ensure that resident care objectives are established and met and that the standards, policies and procedures of the Nursing Services Department are consistent with the standards, policies and procedures of NLCS, State and Federal regulations, and current standards of care and practice. The Nursing Care Specialist position is multifaceted to promote and include a focus on resident’s quality of care while ensuring optimal quality of life is delivered to each resident in an individualized approach through the coordination of care with the interdisciplinary team, along with education, documentation and process leadership. Special focus on wound care process and documentation as well as Restorative Nursing Program.
Requirements
You will need to be a Licensed Nurse (RN or LPN) licensed in the state of community with a minimum of five years’ experience in nursing required, preferably in long-term care environment. Wound Certified or willing to become Wound Certified within six months of hire and must have ability to complete multiple projects simultaneously. You will also need to possess strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidential information while demonstrating above average computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical records. Familiarity with MDS assessments and documentation preferred.
