We are seeking a Financial Analyst, Sr for an insurance Company based in Minnesota!

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Standard Business Hours

Location: REMOTE – With occasional visits to the office in Eagan, MN so you must be local

Pay: $47/hr

Duration: 3 Months (possible extension/conversion opportunity)

Performs moderately complex forecasting and budgeting variance analysis, development of management reporting and other ad hoc financial analysis. Works on multiple priorities, deadlines and has the ability to adapt to change.

How Is This Role Important to Our Work?

This role will have a heavy focus on cost transformation for the organization over the next couple years. However, the role is still a financial analyst requiring similar skillset to other principals. The role will focus primarily across the broad organization for cost analysis.

This position performs moderately complex forecasting and budgeting variance analysis, development of management reporting and other ad hoc financial analysis. The position is able to work on multiple priorities, deadlines and has the ability to adapt to change.

A Day in the Life:

• Independently identify, analyze and report on key drivers of revenue and expense forecasting and other financial data, draw conclusions and present recommendations on findings in a concise and effective manner.

• Develop complex/multi-dimensional models for revenue and pricing analysis, operational and vendor analysis and other projects as assigned.

• Lead and develop complex return on investment analysis, working with cross-functional teams and presenting to leadership.

• Network with business leadership as a resource on financial issues with enterprise impact.

• Identify, analyze and recommend process improvements and other ad hoc analysis.

• Work cross-functionally to implement process improvements.

• Independently prepare operational analytical reports related to resource capacity planning, capital, non-operating activities and expenses.

• Ability to navigate through various systems and departments to obtain accurate information to be utilized in the budget, forecasting and other ad hoc analysis/projects.

Nice to Have:

• Bachelors degree

• Programming in Microsoft Excel

Required Skills and Experiences:

• 8 years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.

• Very strong Microsoft Excel Modeling experience

• Healthcare knowledge and / or experience ideally in the finance space.

• Strong communication.

• Excellent organization skills.

• MS office applications experience.

• Excellent analytical skills and strong problem resolution skills.

• Ability to adapt to a changing environment and work independently.
