Construction Estimator

Grazzini Brothers & Company is a 95 year old Construction Specialty Contractor working nationwide, specializing in commercial/industrial Ceramic Tile, Terrazzo, Granite, Marble, Carpet and Soft Flooring installation coast to coast. Job Summary: The role of the Estimator is to Quantity Estimate materials for Cost Estimating purposes. This includes quantity plan reading, on-screen takeoffs, inputs into estimating software, performing estimates, training, scheduling, establishing goals and standards. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and requirements; setting priorities. Performs a key role in project planning, budgeting and identification of resources needed. Prepares Quantity Estimates off of Architectural Drawings; Proficient Plan reading skills a must Resolves quantity discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information. Prepares special reports by collecting analyzing and summarizing information and trends. Prepares project documents, material release schedules, client information, project schedules and other documentation to assure a steady stream of information to the Project Managers/Cost Estimators.
