Description:

Working in the Microbiology lab of Eurofins. Performing fast paced and repetitive laboratory support functions. They will not be performing analysis, they will be performing mostly support functions.

– Stocking shelves and chemical inventory, sweeping floors, cleaning work spaces

– pH, balances

– sample registration for testing orders (weigh, dilute, and incubate samples; test for pathogens)

– autoclave, cleaning glassware, maintaining a safe and orderly work station

– documentation support as needed

– Adhere to ISO and Good Laboratory Proactices (GLP)

– Follow safety, laboratory, and company S.O.P.s to avoid contamination, create a safe laboratory environment.

– Communicating with, taking direction from a small laboratory team to prioritize workload.

100% Laboratory Position. They are in the Eurofins side which is the outsourced microbiology testing lab so they will do testing on more than just dairy products.

Will be working on their feet majority of the day.

They are ISO certified so it is the higher end of the two labs and is a controlled environment to avoid contamination. Full smock, lab glasses, hands washed. Lab shoes, jeans, and lab coat. Similar to a low level clean room.

TRAINING:

M – F 9 – 5:30 for 2 or 3 weeks

SHIFT:

10a – 6:30p Tues – Sat (9am – 5:30pm)

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

– BA/BS in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology or related degree (will consider a non-science degreed candidate)

– 2 microbiology/bio laboratory courses

– positive attitude and willingness to learn in the lab verified by references
