Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services & Systems division is currently seeking a Supply Chain Regional Buyer.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $77,249 – $113,299 a year.

What you’ll do:
The Supply Chain Regional Buyer is accountable for performing the supply chain management function for their assigned region. The Regional Buyer will lead their region in the development and execution of strategic sourcing strategies with other Electrical Engineering Services and Systems buyers, set up new suppliers, negotiate pricing & terms, analyze trends, and support the procurement process with focus on identifying and executing on cost out strategies to drive the profitability of the Field Services business. This position will be responsible for key procurement KPIs (Cost Out, DPO, and DOH) for assigned region. The candidate will support the usage of procurement excellence, supplier site assessment, and cost-out tools from the Eaton Business System (EBS).
Essential functions of this role include:
Analyze spend and purchase patterns to identify and execute strategic sourcing actions in collaboration with other Electrical Engineering Services and Systems Buyers.
Process POs for material and subcontractor procurement.
Reconcile supplier invoice problems and work to eliminate and/or control discrepancies.
Ensure suppliers meet quality, availability, delivery, and other factors necessary to ensure the overall conformance of materials/services purchased to contract requirements and overall company objectives.
Partner with sales and operations to support the vendor proposal process during the bidding stage, including supplier selection, submission of RFP packages and bid analysis.
Regional lead on OPEX/SCM division initiatives:
Cost Out – drive cost reduction and cost avoidance opportunities, including identifying synergies and volume purchases. Monitor and report savings opportunities identified.
Days Payable Outstanding (DPO)– support Net 120 negotiations with suppliers.
Days on Hand (DOH) – drive reduction in aged inventory.
Support “One Eaton Supply Chain” by leveraging existing supplier relationships, assist in identifying and developing new sources in conjunction with EESS Supply Chain Analysts/Manager, including support of new supplier set ups and ASL/Safety approvals.
Perform Vendor set-up process for all new suppliers with adherence to Eaton requirements, including documentation collection, submission and tracking approval process.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
3 years of industry experience in Supply Chain or Procurement
Must reside within a 50 mile radius of the work location(s) listed for this position. No relocation is being offered.
Preferred Qualifications:
Service oriented electrical industry experience
Knowledge and understanding of procurement, negotiations, and vendor management
Experience with enterprise resource planning software (ERP) such as Oracle, SAP, etc.
Advanced analytical skills/excel experience, particularly with volume purchasing
Skills:
Must have excellent communication & negotiating, relationship building, business analytical and problem-solving skills.
