DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Job Description: 3M is seeking Full-time
Garage Mechanic (Wausau, WI). Job Description: As a Garage Mechanic, you
will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate

Here, you will make an impact by: Responsibilities: Conduct vehicle
inspections and diagnostics tests to identify worn and damaged parts.
Maintain and improve equipment availability by completing preventative
and corrective maintenance on mining and mobile equipment such as
wheeled loaders, excavators, haul trucks, rock breakers, graders, water
trucks, sweepers, Cushman carts, etc. Corrective maintenance may
include repairs, adjustments, and replacement of major and minor
assemblies and components related to power and drive trains, electrical,
air conditioning, fuel, emissions, brake, steering, and hydraulic
systems. Participates in the total life cycle costs of equipment by
ensuring the best value use of warranties, service contracts, and
maintenance records. Candidates to supply their own toolbox and set

terms. OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Required: To set
you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for
candidates who must have the following qualifications: Possess a High
School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
from an accredited institution. Possess a current and valid Drivers
License with a valid CDL or get a valid CDL within 6 months of
employment. Must be able of working rotating shifts, working extended
hours, weekend work, working on holidays as needed, working short notice
calls in, and working outdoors in various weather conditions including
extreme weather conditions on occasion. Desired: Additional
qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role
include: Possess a two (2) year technical degree or diploma in Diesel
Technology, Diesel / Industrial Training, Heavy Duty Diesel Service
Technology) OR minimum of five (5) years of experience in heavy
equipment maintenance in lieu of a degree. Welding certificate from
an accredited nstitution. Related experience in a heavy industrial
environment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong computer skills (Excel, CMS, and Vendor specific diagnostic
software such as Cat ET). Ability to work independently or with
teams. Strong written and oral communication skills
