General Laborer

Description:

Making pipes and conduit from flat metal bands. The metal is bent and rolled to form the tubes and then is cut off to length. The general labor or “bundler” role is at the end of the line and is a very team-orientated position. Pipes will come off the cut-off machine and roll onto a sorting table where the bundling candidates will be doing the following:

Physically pulling the pipe from the sorting table to a stationary rack that is below the table and then bundling the product/pipe by using banding and ratchets to clamp the bands together.
Perform quality inspection: Visually inspect parts for quality and surface defects to ensure quality, using table measure and other small hand tools such as micrometers and calipers
Accurately complete required production and tag finished product

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Qualified candidates should have experience in a manufacturing environment or working around equipment in a physical and fast paced role.

Must be able to read tape measures,
Must be able to visually inspect product.
Must be able to conduct basic math (add, subtract)
Must be able to lift material/parts from the floor. (max. 40 lbs.)

Plus:
Experience with micrometers and calipers.
