Mill Operator

Description:

-Responsible for running the mill efficiently and safely while ensuring high quality product is being produced. This person will diagnose issues with the mill and will recommend corrective actions to address the issues.

-Assisting in mill changeovers with the mill crew.

-Performing quality inspections utilizing quality plans and inspection tools.

-Reading blue prints to apply necessary adjustments to the mill.

-Inspecting parts for surface defects to ensure quality compliance.

-Ability to read tape measures, micrometers and calipers.

-Ability to read and interpret blue prints of varying complexity.

-Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Qualified candidates should have experience in a manufacturing environment or working around equipment in a physical and fast paced role.

Must be able to read tape measures,

Must be able to visually inspect product.

Must be able to conduct basic math (add, subtract)

Must be able to read and write English

Must be able to perform job while standing.

Must be able to lift material/parts from the floor. (max. 40 lbs.)

Plus:

Experience with micrometers and calipers.
