Applications Engineer

Our client in Janesville, WI is looking to fill a position due to growth, needing an Applications Engineer. Our client is looking to for someone to work in their division by strategically planning and coordinating the design, development and promotion of new products, applications and markets. This position provides support to manufacturing by functioning as both a technical and market resource for our customers and field sales representatives in terms of new product and market development. Salary range starts around $125K depending on experience with full benefits. This role is a direct hire with the company.

Essential duties are:

Responsible for the development of a superior business relationship with all customers and field sales representative.

Manages the quoting process.

Coordinates all print changes between customer and business units.

Coordinates the manufacturing and delivery of all engineering and proto-type samples.

Coordinates all new products with the product/process and quality engineers up to the Gate 1 stage.

Supports development of new materials with the materials technology team for existing customers and new customer market opportunities.

Develops cost models for all quotes.

Coordinates internal resources to develop proposed process flow and associated rates for quote purposes.

Modifies customer designs for improved manufacturability, including developing marked prints and or modifications of CAD solid model files.

Represent the company in technical/engineering discussions with customers and represent the customers needs/wants in internal company meetings.

Support, promote and perform in a manner consistent with continuous improvement goals with the company values, policies, procedures and requirements of our QM and ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems. Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in a technical field, or related work experience.

5 years related experience with powdered metals applications.

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Proficient in CAD solid model software and GD&T
