Dance Instructor – Youth Ballet

Stateline Family YMCA is currently hiring a part-time Dance Instructor for our Ironworks branch. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Instruct Dance lessons in accordance with YMCA guidelines, having prepared lesson plans accordingly

Build effective, authentic relationships with participants and parents; help them connect with each other and the YMCA. Encourages parent involvement and identifies potential volunteers

Convey information on dance programs and schedules and, as appropriate, refer participants and parents to other programs

Maintain records as required (i.e. attendance, progress reports, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

1-2 years related experience preferred

Skills

CPR, First Aid and AED certification and/or experience a plus

Ability to maintain positive presence in the facility

Prior knowledge/experience of dance skills preferred
