Strategic Account Manager
This role manages our relationship and business with HEB, Wegmans, Meijer, UNFI/KEHE. This team member will work with these key retail partners to deliver on day-to-day needs, grow the business and advocate with other departments within the company to create new plans and systems to help grow sales opportunities and provide outstanding response to key issues of customer satisfaction.
What would you do?
Build solid relationships with regional customers merchants, own manufacturing, product development & sourcing teams to collaborate on ways to exceed sales goals and objectives.
Coordinate and collaborate with internal functional teams to provide a seamless and outstanding customer experience.
Foster an outstanding customer relationship by regularly engaging to provide business reviews, deliver value proposition and maximize customer utilization of Kerry services.
Exhibiting outstanding communication skills including verbal, written, and listening to learn the customers business needs and leverage emerging technology and Walker Edison internal systems to drive compelling business proposition.
Manage and execute key success factors to meet quarterly goals. (Example of key success factors Pipeline, negotiation, closes, activation, retention)
Other related duties as assigned based on the needs of the customers.
Use data to identify successes and areas of opportunity, understand and utilize partner specific reporting, share data with partners and the executive team in a way that strengthens partnerships and drives overall business
Manage several key moving parts within the business with a high level of detail and organization
Build and develop collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operation of all aspects of your partners business
Improving the Customer Experience: maintain integrity of existing product listings, build out product collections, and develop merchandising strategies within your partners unique parameters
Regular travel to corporate office in Beloit, WI and customers HQs.
What will you need to be successful?
Bachelors Degree required with preference in Business, Communications, Food Science, or related discipline. MBA is a significant advantage.
8 years of commercial experience within a food company, retail account management preferred.
Negotiation skills
Experience working with and influencing cross-functional teams
Track record of success in delivering against goals and targets.
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Robust business acumen and project management skills
Proven ability to generate creative solutions based on customer needs.
Availability to travel: in person visits within customers and the industry.
