Purchasing Intern

JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB SUMMARY The person in this position will build on
their in-process higher education knowledge to gain skills and
experience in purchasing data entry and data maintenance for a
manufacturing organization. This role will work collaboratively with a
cross functional team with a primary focus on purchasing activities.
This is a year-round internship. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain supplier delivery confirmations in SAP Run vendor open order
reports in SAP Work with the buyer and supplier to resolve issues
Expedite deliveries Work with production and warehouse teams to resolve
shortages Run reports and maintain Supply Chain metrics KNOWLEDGE,
SKILLS & ABILITIES Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel; Word;
PowerPoint) Attention to detail Strong communication skills Proficient
typing Ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment
Self-sufficient and problem solver EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Required
Education / Experience High school diploma or equivalent Currently
attending college or recent graduate in the Supply Chain field CONTEXT
