Community Counseling Program Overview At Catholic Charities, our
Community Counseling Program addresses the mental health needs of the
poor and underserved. Our team of therapists helps individuals, couples,
and families overcome emotional distress and trauma. We recognize the
added challenges faced by people living in poverty and accept patients
who do not have any means to pay, as well as those with limited
resources, on a sliding fee scale adjusted to an individuals or
familys size and financial situation or in some cases at no cost.
Therapist Job Summary As a Mental Health Therapist, you will provide
in-office counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and
groups. Our therapists work with a wide range of diagnoses and
demographics, meeting our clients where they are and utilizing different
approaches to best support each client. Therapists regularly collaborate
with therapists and other Programs within the Agency to provide holistic
support to every client in meeting their goals. Position Requirements
Candidates are required to have completed or be about to complete a
Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related counseling field.
Post-graduate clinical practice (i.e., LPC, MFT) and 3,000-hour
